This patient desired a final fixed prosthesis which he did not remove from his mouth
at any time. As a result, eight implants were placed, as is evident in the photograph
prior to "filling the holes" in the prosthesis above the implants. [Click the

The final fixed prosthesis is in place. This prosthesis is highly aesthetic, comfortable
and functional and is not removed from the patient's mouth.

When extensive bone and gum have been lost over time, an appliance is fabricated
which is highly aesthetic and stable under function, and which is removed to allow
you to clean around the implants. This appliance feels like a permanent bridge except
for the fact that you remove it to clean the area daily.

The under surface of the prosthesis has a metal sleeve which will fit over the bar
which connects the implants in the mouth. Notice that there is no material covering
the roof of the mouth.

The bar is in place in the patient's mouth. This bar will fit intimately into the
sleeve of the prosthesis.

The prosthesis is in place. The patient is satisfied with this aesthetic, stable,
comfortable, functional prosthesis. Once again, no material covers the roof of the
mouth.
